- Initialize configurations and interpret plan output
- Apply and destroy resources safely within the exam scope
- Use terraform validate and fmt appropriately
2. Configuration language and modules
- Define variables, locals, and outputs for reusable configurations
- Consume and publish modules with clear interfaces
- Manage provider requirements and version constraints
3. State and change management
- Understand state purpose and inspect state when troubleshooting
- Handle resource addressing, imports, and targeted operations where applicable
- Apply disciplined change practices suitable for shared environments
4. Operations and troubleshooting
- Diagnose common apply failures from CLI messages and logs
- Correct configuration drift introduced during the exam scenario
- Verify end-state matches the task specification
