Exam objectives

1. Docker Engine configuration
- Verify Docker Engine version and routine CLI operations
- Configure daemon logging and related settings required by the lab scenario
- Restart Docker and confirm the daemon is healthy

2. Images and container builds
- Build application images from a provided Dockerfile
- Tag images for use in a multi-service deployment
- Run smoke-test containers to validate builds

3. Networks, volumes, and data services
- Create user-defined bridge networks and named volumes for persistent data
- Deploy PostgreSQL and Redis containers on a shared application network
- Configure database credentials and validate connectivity from the application tier

4. Compose application stack
- Deploy a multi-service stack from a provided Compose definition
- Configure API and worker services with environment variables, bind mounts, and published ports
- Verify application health endpoints and scale worker replicas as specified
- Apply resource limits and confirm the running stack matches the scenario

5. Operations and logging
- Collect container logs and inspect running services for day-two operations
- Record image and deployment state required by the exam scenario

6. Broken container troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair a pre-seeded failing API container left by a prior shift
- Correct command, configuration, network, port, or storage issues introduced in the lab
- Restore service health without disrupting the stack deployed in the first part of the exam
- Document findings using container inspection and health-check evidence
